Pronounce was born out of a personal journey that began in 2001 when I first created a Shea butter soufflé to treat my son’s eczema. Over the years, I explored making custom hair treatments, but it wasn’t until I faced my own hair loss struggles that I truly embraced the importance of natural care. After stepping into the cosmetology world in 2001, I moved away from the traditional methods my mother had taught me and began using over-the-counter products. However, I soon noticed my hair thinning and started relying on extensions. When I removed my dreads this January, I was shocked by how much my hair had thinned. This led me back to my roots—using the simple, natural ingredients my mother and grandmother had always used. Today, Pronounce offers custom-blended hair care products made with food-grade ingredients that provide moisture, hydration, antimicrobial and antibacterial benefits, support hair growth, and incorporate botanical blends of spices and oils.
